The very best Me

When I was a teenager, I was very impatient and I wanted things done quickly, preferably yesterday. My parents often challenged my patience and taught me how to turn my weakness into a strength. When I had an idea, I wanted to start right away, my parents taught me to write down a plan and make a list of pros and cons. At the time it was a real challenge, it meant I had to sit down and think through what I believed I already knew. Since I was so impatient, I could not focus on anything else until finished with my plan. When I talked to my parents again, I now had a ready plan for what I wanted to do to be successful with my idea. What I thought was a weakness actually proved to be my best strength.

I want to find the positive things in all situations and I want to learn to use my weaknesses instead of letting them control me. I always try to strive to be the very best version of myself, no matter what happens in my life.
