5 steps for a good posture

Having a good posture is important for a healthy lifestyle. A good posture helps relieve the joints of your body. Having a bad posture affects the body more than you may think. Many problems related to back and joint pain are caused by a bad posture.

It’s important that you think about your posture every day and there are small things you can do in your everyday life to make it better. Here are 5 steps for a better posture:

  1. Stand with your feet in hip width
  2. Look straight ahead
  3. Tighten your abdominal muscles and prepare as for a punch in your stomach
  4. Bring your chest upwards and bring back your shoulders
  5. Then try to relax your body without changing your posture

Having a good posture is one of the things you need to work at all the time, do this exercise every time you feel you have a bad posture. Add a reminder to your phone or put a post-it on the fridge and bathroom mirror that reminds you to work on your posture. Try doing the exercise every day for a few weeks to see and feel the difference.
